A group of United Nations experts expressed concern on Monday over Israel's ongoing attacks in the occupied West Bank, stating that it is a symbol of terrorism against increasingly active Palestinians. In their statement, they demanded that the international community take actions to ensure the protection of Palestinian human rights. They noted that the bombing of Jenin, the destruction of basic necessities such as water and electricity, and raids on hundreds of homes causing food shortages are worsening the situation. Experts also revealed that such attacks only increase intensity and suffering, with at least 16 civilians killed in the Jenin refugee camp. They urged the Israeli government to immediately stop their military and security forces from using unnecessary force, warning that they will be responsible for the consequences

Their observations came when Israeli forces killed at least 16 Palestinians and injured more than 50 during a military operation in the West Bank city of Jenin. The conflict in the occupied West Bank has escalated due to Israel's war on food, with 473 killed and 111,500 injured since October 2023. According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, at least 800 Palestinians have been killed and more than 6,700 injured by Israeli forces in the occupied territory.

This opens the door to further uncontrollable terrorist attacks against the Palestinian people. They said that the state's failure to intervene to protect Palestinians in accordance with international law is a cause for concern and could have devastating consequences. Like other people, we cannot leave the Palestinian people to their fate; if this happens, it will be the greatest failure of human rights.
